Hey, guys! Cosmincreato here with an amazing Hog Deck with a very good Spell Combo that will wreck your opponents’ towers fast!
Before starting, I wanna say thanks to Norbysweg for sharing this deck :).Alright, enough talking, let’s get right into it.
- Huge Spell versatiliy
- Great against 3M
- Good against Pumps
- Easy to punish the opponent for a lot Elixir Spent
- Weak to Exenado
- The Log is annoying against the Deck
Hog Rider — The Win Condition. Hog is a great card that is played in every single meta of the game.
Since Hog Rider is not really a Tank, but a Mini-Tank you should always protect him with an Ice Golem in front.
You’ve got 3 Spell combos so you’re prepared for every single defense he’ll use to kill your Hog, even if most of the time you’ll need either Poison or The Log, believe me, defending your Hog with a Poison and a Fireball hitting the enemy tower AND your opponent’s troops is totally devastating.
Ice Golem — Ice Golem was Hog Rider’s best buddy in the Arena from its release, and nothing has changed now.
This is an extremely versatile cheap-cost card used to protect your Hog Rider from trouble, giving you enough time to respond to your opponent’s defense, but a great Shield on defense to absorb lots of damage while killing the enemy troops as well.
Poison —The Poison is probably the most important spell in your Deck while pushing, since it will do significantly high damage on your opponent’s tower while keeping a safe road for your Hog to the Tower.
Yes, may struggle if you only send Poison against cards with high HP, that’s why you shouldn’t keep the Poison as your single offensive Spell.
Fireball — If I said that The Poison is not enough to deal with most the popular defensive cards in the game at the moment, think of Fireball as a Finisher to your opponent’s cards: Barbs, Wizards, Musketeers.
If your Fireball is not overleveled they’re not gonna die and still kill your Hog, so always play Fireball after your Log or Poison as a finisher.
The Log — You’ll need a cheap-cost, chip damage, good for Elixir Trades Spell as well.Tombstone is one of the most annoying buildings for Hog Players, but it will be extremely easy to counter it with The Log.
Also good for a small amount of damage to kill the troops damaged by the Fireball.
Tombstone — Your defensive building and a pretty powerful one.Skeletons are great for distraction, they also take the huge damage from cards such as Prince, Sparky, Mini P.E.K.K.A while you are killing them with your Archers and Mega Minion.
Great card against Battle Ram and P.E.K.K.A also.Extremely versatile and level independent.
Mega Minion — This card is totally amazing against almost everything, insane damage for 3 elixir and it’s probably my favorite defensive card in the game right now.
Not a lot to talk about it, never send it in pushes since it’s a lot more worth to use it defensively, a lot of value.
Archers — Last but not least, the Archers have got that chip damage that you need defensively, because you’ve already got enough offensive power.
Good to split them on 2 sides before the opponent in starting his push to get as much value as you can from them.
No, this is not like any other Hog Deck where you build cheap, but insanely powerful pushes with your Hog in front.
Here you’ll only need your Ice Golem and Hog Rider on attack. Keep the pressure constantly and spam with A LOT of Spells on your opponent’s side while attacking, make a clear way for your Hog and deal hundreds of damage with your Spells.
This is also your secondary way to win if your Hog Rider won’t get shots on the tower very often.
Have the first attack always.
Don’t let the opponent have control over the match, make constant pushes and try to outcycle him. Don’t wait for him to deploy troops to use your Spells. Drop Poison and Log asap after you deploy your Hog and he won’t have too many responses, and if he will deploy something you’ll kill it with the Fireball after it’s damaged by Poison.
Not too many changes, by now you should be able to take down one tower since you know most of the possible plays from your opponent. If he has a fast deck as well he’ll get to attack you some times. Counterpush with any price, you can’t let him keep attacking you.
Late Game and Overtime:
This is when the real fun starts, you will be able to cycle very fast, send everything on attack since you are an aggressive deck, you may even be able to deploy 2 Hogs at the same time. If he tries to ignore your attack and spams troops at the bridge you can even try 3-crowning him.
Golem NW: This one CAN be easy.If he’ll really get to start a Golem push without punishing him you can send your spells to completely destroy his supports.Archers, Tombstone and Mega Min for Golem.Poison every single Elixir Pump, but it depends a lot.
3M Bridge Spam: Fireball +Log for 3M. Tombstone for Ram.
Log-Bait: Log, Poison, Archers and Ice Golem’s Death Effect all come in handy.
Siege: This one is kinda annoying since you gotta send Hog to destroy the Siege Units but if you can outcycle him everything’s gonna be alright.
Lavaloon: While you use Tomb for distraction try putting Archers and Mega Min behind Balloon so they can destroy it fast, then it should be ok.
Hog Cycle: This is very tough and skill will probably decide this one.
Graveyard: Archers and Log for this one, keep Splash units busy with Ice Golem.
Royal Giant: Mega Minion and Archers deal damage.Place Tomb in front of RG for distraction, also skellies will do a great job as well.
P.E.K.K.A: Tombstone for PEKKA, but not too early since they may Fireball or damage it then Log. Ice Golem for distracting Exe if needed
- Poison/Fireball every single Furnace since it can become an extremely annoying card to deal with after creating big pushes.
- Never ever let him keep the pressure.
- Try not to use your medium-cost Spells defensively too often since they will help your offense a lot.
- Try punishing him for every move so he can’t build big pushes.
That’s all for today boys, have fun with the deck!
I’ve been Cosmincreato, see ya later!
