Lanceyard – Awesome Double Prince Graveyard Deck!
Hello everyone, My name is KPK, and it’s my first post to CRA. I’m more of a guy, who likes experimenting new decks, decks which are out of meta, but it generally results in a 600 trophy downgrade.
Before Starting, I’d like to say, that this uses two Legendary cards – Graveyard and Electro Wizard. The Graveyard is the core of this deck, so there aren’t much of replacements for that. Plus, keep in mind this is more of a Ladder Deck!
Without further chitchat, let’s get started!
Card Breakdown
Graveyard – It’s the Second Fastest Method to completely shutdown an Arena Tower, with amazing offensive skills. Just remember to place it 2 tiles away from an Arena Tower, to prevent activation of the King Tower.
Prince – Has high capabilities and can deliver a stinging haymaker, but is often underused for the number of swarms that outnumber him. Getting the Prince to tank, will make a deadly tactic, since both are equally devastating. Fingers crossed, you have a good spell ready to counter them.
Dark Prince – This guy, ain’t as powerful as his Golden Bro, but he can break hell loose, and almost destroy an entire pack of Skeletons. Don’t send him alone, it’s a waste of elixir . His Shield, tanks up quite a messy blow of Sparky, and a piercing crew of Elites.
Electro Wizard – He lands with a POW! Stings enemies with a POW! And controls both defense and offense equally with a POW! Has powerful defensive and offensive capabilities. Paired behind the Princes , he can be quite handy! make good utility of his Stun on Inferno Towers, Dragons and Sparky. If you don’t have the Electro Wizard, replace him for anything that deals area damage, best choice in this deck would be an Executioner or Baby Dragon.
Goblin Gang – I call ’em “The Men in Green”. Amazing card for 3 elixir, which resolves most problems, but they aren’t most useful in handling aerial attacks. You can swap them for Minions, Skeleton Army, Skeletons, Ice Spirit or any other Swarm with which you’re comfortable with!
Poison – Its damage over time, makes it most useful in this deck. It destroys the most common counters from Minions to Goblins. You can swap it out for Fireball if you’re comfortable with it for it’s clutch damage. Lightning or Rocket work as well.
Tornado – A Giant Whirlwind, creating Gigantic Possibilites. Using the Dark Prince, you can deal a bulk load of damage, by dragging all support troops and the tank together and blast them! With one Tornado, you can activate the King Tower(if you can place it right!), bring a Princess inside the Tower’s Range and Play neutral trades for a Goblin Barrel and swarms. You can swap it For The Log, Arrows or Zap.
Mega Minion – Our most reliable resource in defense and AIR defense. Offense is very much occasional with this card. But defense; not another word about it! For a Fact, he can survive Fireballs upto two Levels higher than himself! A replacement would be Musketeer, Minions or Dart Goblin. But depends on your choice.
The General Gameplan
After we wish our opponent a Sarcastic Good Luck ( or just a Nice Good Luck!), we make sure it’s bad luck( I don’t mean to be rude to your opponent!)!
Starting Moves
Don’t start off with a Graveyard! At start, the opponent is theoretically ready to defeat your instant offense, since he has 10 elixir on him! Starting with a Giant, is a slow push, and hence gives more time to build up.
A Good Starting Move, would be an Electro Wizard, MM in the back or a Goblin Gang Split. If you don’t get either of them, the best choice would be start with a Dark Prince.
If the opponent starts off, be patient with your moves.
Conserving Elixir
This is a 3.9 elixir average deck. So don’t overcommit yourself! Every move counts while handling an Elite Barbarian User. They’re too fast and pretty much unstoppable without Good Counters. We have a Prince and Dark Prince. Very effective in handling the situation. An Electro Wizard + Dark Prince is good as well.
In Double Time, you might have to stop being TOO much of an Elixir Conserver, break few rules, and give them hardly any opportunity. Once, you finished a Big Push, slow down and build back elixir.
Working with the Time
Don’t rush elixir. And don’t keep the elixir bar to 10 for a long time, this results in waste of elixir overload. First 1 minute, observe the win conditions of the opponent. And see their counters to the Graveyard. Try playing a Light Combo, of Graveyard+Poison cycle, and also try Dark Prince + Graveyard, Prince + Poison and such combos.
When the timer, gets to 2x Elixir, you can break a few boundaries.
How does this deck confuse the opponent?
Let’s first look at the Common Counters to a Graveyard :- Valkyrie, Minions, Goblin Gangs, Knight, Skeleton Army, Minion Horde, Bowler, Executioner, Wizard, Witch, Princess, Poison and Baby Dragon.
Let’s take a Look at the Common Counters to a Prince – Valkyrie, Goblin Gang, Skeleton Army, Swarms, Zap+ Air Swarms, Knight, Lightning , Heavy Damage Troops and Buildings.
The Common Counters to both are: Valkyrie, Minions, Knight, Goblin Gang, Swarms.
In most cases, these are very commonly used to stop Prince or Graveyard. Sometimes, a Heavy Troop like a P.E.K.K.A might be used to stop a Prince, but I’ll come to match-ups later.
Now, they can devote one counter to only one case, either the Prince or Graveyard. Some people devote a lot more of elixir, to counter Graveyard+Poison combo, the one we’ll be using. So, playing this will force them to completely focus on the Graveyard. We can send Dark Prince in this lane. In the other lane, you can send Prince. Deploy Goblin Gang on the Graveyard Lane. This confuses them totally! And either one of their towers undergo significant damage, like a 3M Ram Deck.
You can also build a big push on only one lane, and deploy something equally pressurizing like the Prince on the other lane, or a completely one lane push. It’s very circumstantial.
The Electro Wizard + Dark Prince + Graveyard + Poison, is quite a fatal combo in Single Time. Goblin Gang can be played, if the Log/Zap is used.
I usually, play all my moves in only one lane, but Double Lane moves, are in the case of opponents having high defense like PEKKA, Super-speedy Hog Cycles etc..
Match-ups
Lava Hound – A Lava Hound hardly ever comes alone. If that happened, you’re lucky. We have 5 resources to aid us now.
In a common LavaLoon battle, here are the things you can do :
- Double Prince + Graveyard Play on opposite lane. Poison must be ready in hand.
- Commitment on defense is quite tough, but if necessary, Electro Wizard, Mega Minion locks on the Balloon. Tornado ready to pull the Balloon back. Poison can be used in extreme cases. Goblin Gangs aren’t much useful.
Miner Decks – Quite easy. Just pull them to the King Tower, and the Miner ain’t much of a botheration.
Tornado can pull out a Barrel, if placed 1 second before the Barrel reaches. Poison+Graveyard is quite effective here, since most troops will be swarms.
If they use Executioners, Bowlers etc… Either use Tornado, or send Prince+Dark Prince.
Poison is vital. Don’t waste it! Goblin Gangs, can counter Miners too, and other tanky single targets. Electro Wizard’s Spawn Attack and MM is useful.
Hog Rider – Don’t overcommit! Hog Riders always look out for these opportunities.
If you’re lucky, you can pull the Hog Rider to the King Tower.
Generally, we get Hog+Valkyrie, Hog+Knight or Hog+Ice Golem.
In case of Knight and Valkyrie, distract them with Dark Prince, the Prince on Hog. Tornado helps prevent damage. You can do a Dark Prince+ Tornado combo, in case of damaging both Ice Golem and Hog Rider. Electro Wizard, provides amazing defensive value as well. Electro Wizard + Goblin Gang deals a lot of damage.
Tornado can also drag the Hog Rider to the King Tower, but it’s tough now, since it’s radius has been shrinked down to 5.5 tiles
Giant – Giants hardly come alone.
These days it’s more of Giant alone on one lane, with a Night Witch and Bandit on the other. To defend this combo, you would need Dark Prince+Electro Wizard on the Bandit Lane, and Prince+ Anything Else Except Poison.
In the case, of Giants and a tank behind it, Prince to attack the Giant, and Dark Prince on the support troops. Use Electro Wizard/Goblin Gang/MM/Tornado if necessary.
Golem – Quite tough.
Golem + Night Witch + Lightning Combo, is considerably, powerful.
The main problem is the Night Witch. Hence, the Tornado is secret. Dark Prince + Tornado can solve this issue, if used right. Then the Night Witch dies. Bats can be handled with Electro Wizard, Prince to attack the Golem. Prince, loses almost half his hitpoints from a Lightning, so it’s not much to worry about. If the Golem is placed in the back, try to seize advantage by playing in the opposite lane. This works ONLY in Single Time! Or, you can at a Point, pull the Golem to the other lane, and ruin their deployments.
Key to Golem Decks are Elixir Collectors! #DestroyCollectors!
Elite Barbarians – How can I miss this one?
Elite Barbarians are the fastest way to completely destroy a tower. Elite Log Combo and Elite Valkyrie combo is quite common.
In case of Elite Log, if the Log’s used, then place the Goblin Gang in the center, if not yet, you can use a Dark Prince and Goblin Gang. It’s pretty easy to shutdown the duo this way. If you’re not having Dark Prince, You can use Prince alternatively, but he will take in quite a lot of damage. E-Wiz+Gang is also effective.
P.E.K.K.A – The third fastest way to completely shutdown a tower, but the fastest to completely finish the game.
Support troops must be removed at all costs. Dark Prince+Nado is key. Don’t let them pile up 2 PEKKAs, ’cause then, I’m afraid you’re going to have to say “Good Game”. All cards are necessary. MM+Electro Wizard can shutdown the lone PEKKA for neutral trade. Prince + Goblin Gang, Goblin Gang + E-Wiz, MM can also shut it down.
Three Musketeers – First things first! Make sure, it’s good-bye to the Collector every time you see it! Poison is effective.
Three Musketeer decks generally have Battle Rams and Bandits. Dark Prince + Tornado is a 2 elixir advantage. E-Wiz for Battle Rams and Knights. Prince is quite good in knocking out 2 Musketeers.
LumberLoon (Raging Balloon) – A common Raging Balloon gets very messy to handle with.
Electro Wizard + MM is a good counter
Graveyard – Simple! Poison does everything. Don’t even look at that Graveyard, because it’s dead! Place Poison , 1.5sec after the deployment of Graveyard, and cover most of the zone with Poison.
Alternatives are Dark Prince, MM and Goblin Gang.
So that’s it !
Hope you guys enjoyed it!
Stay tuned for my upcoming deck – SparkyJack Heal!
