With this deck, you may use the spear goblins as an opening.
The main thing is to defend and cycle through the cards until you have the Lava Hound and Baby Dragon in your hand, place the Lava Hound behind your tower, then when the Lava Hound reaches the border line of your opponent’s side of the arena place the Baby Dragon and Fire Spirits behind the Lava Hound.
You may add Musketeer and Minions to the push but you might want to keep those cards for defense in case your opponent tries any pushes against you. This method is especially effective during x2 Elixir(Double Elixir time.) Always keep enough elixir for arrows when your Lava Hound is pushing on your opponent’s territory.
The Lava Hound’s job is to get your linebacking troops to the tower and distract any incoming fire like a common tank. A lone Lava Hound will not be destructive due to its low DPS (Damage Points.) If your opponent placed his air attacking units, just drop your Lava Hound on the other lane if you have 10 elixir.
Use your Baby Dragon wisely in both offense and defense. It is very effective in supporting a counter push. Place the Baby Dragon 2-3 tiles in front of your arena tower whenever you see Barbarians, Skeleton Army, or Goblins are approaching.
Musketeer is a powerful but squishy unit in the game. A lone Musketeer cant be effective as she can easily be countered by Goblins, Knight, Mini P.E.K.K.A, Valkyrie, Barbarians, and many other troops. Always use your Musketeer to back up higher-hitpoint troops in every push. If your opponent has the Balloon, keep your Musketeer and deploy it immediately once the opposing balloon spawns.
You can initally use Spear Goblins to cause some chip damage to the opponents towers and force the opponent to show his card. However, your main use with this card should be to take out those flying units such as Minions, Balloon, and Baby Dragon. Make sure you keep your Spear Goblins considerably away from the Target.
The Minions are very effective to be used in both attack and defense. You can always use them to defend against Balloon and support high-hitpoint troops in a push. Sometimes, 3 Minions can be more efficient than Minion Horde, because most people are not willing to arrow 3 Minions.
Barbarians by themselves do a fine job stopping the Hog Rider even if Goblins are coming along to back him up. Barbarians are especially Effective to counter Hog Rider strategy, Royal Giant(Getting Nerfed :D) or tanker backed up with low-hitpoint troops.
Fire Spirits are perfect in defense against swarm like Minion Horde, Barbarians, Skeleton Army, and Goblin Barrel. However, they are weak against Zap. If your opponent has Zap, it is better to place your Fire Spirits directly beside your opponent’s swarm but not let your Fire Spirits move for a far distance. Dont use Fire Spirits on tank units or buildings.
Arrows are extremely useful against large swarms of low health troops. If your opponent throws a Gobin Barrel towards your tower, fire your Arrows immediately(now that it hs improved speed) before the Goblin Barrel’s impact, eliminating all Goblins immediately. Be patient , wait, and see if he will deploy other supporting troops before using the Arrows.
