Strongest Decks for the Legendary Challenge

Hey Guys!

What’s up, it’s Unstoppable, and I’m finally back after a long break from the competitive scene after I went to CCGS.

Recently I’ve been back on the grind doing GCs and getting a ton of 12 wins

Because of all the success I’ve been having (farmed around 1.5 million gold already and have an almost maxed account), I wanted to share my tips with you guys on which decks to use, and how to use them.

Grand Challenges/Classic Challenges are the absolute best way to spend your gems, as you get 22K gold/1200 Cards per 12 wins. That’s absolutely insane value, and I highly recommend it.

Top Challenge Decks That Work In The Current Meta

Golem RG

Clash Royale GolemClash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale GuardsClash Royale Mega Minion
Clash Royale PoisonClash Royale Cannon CartClash Royale Electro WizardClash Royale The Log

Golem is one of the strongest archetypes in the game, if you know how to play it.

Due to it’s massive HP, you can support it with weaker troops (like mega minion) that deal high DPS while it beats down your opponent’s tower.

The tip for this Golem deck is to play slow at the beginning.

Unlike other players, I do like to play Golem sometimes in single elixer only in specific situations.

You only want to play Golem when you have a significant elixer advantage or when you know you will not get punished.

You can use a Golem on defense to tank your opponents supporting units while you defend against their tank. You can then counter push with that Golem and your defensive units.

Goblin Hut is really great for baiting out Poison so you can stack units like Night Witch and Mega Minion behind your Golem.

Balloon Hunter

Clash Royale Mega KnightClash Royale BalloonClash Royale HunterClash Royale Ice Golem
Clash Royale ZapClash Royale MinerClash Royale Ice SpiritClash Royale Mega Minion

Next, we have this Balloon/Hunter deck. I really love this deck.

I have got many 12 wins in GCs with this deck, before Royal Ghost was introduced.

This deck does not as well now because of Goblin Hut. It is very hard to get through the Goblin Hut

A good starting move is to cycle Ice Spirit at the beginning.

The Mega Knight is extremely good on defense and can translate very easily into a counterpush.

Golem decks actually counter this deck because it is really tough to stop Golem and supporting units even though you have Mega Knight and Hunter, it is not enough to stop a Golem.

When you have a lot of counterpushing units, use Ice Golem in front and support with a Balloon. It is very tough to stop this combination.

Hog Exenado

Clash Royale Hog RiderClash Royale ExecutionerClash Royale TornadoClash Royale fireball

Clash Royale GuardsClash Royale KnightClash Royale Ice SpiritClash Royale The Log

Next deck is an old Hog/Executioner deck but with Guards substituted for Goblins.

This deck is really strong in the current meta mainly because of Royal Ghost. Knight and Guards are excellent counters to Royal Ghost.

You have Tornado and Guards which are invaluable against bridge spam.

This deck also counters Golem really well due to the insane Exenado combination.

It furthermore destroys Three Musketeers as you have Tornado+Fireball for three muskies and Pump, as well as Guards for Battle Ram, and Ice Spirit/nado Executioner for Minion Horde.

You even have Log for Goblin Gang. But this deck is vulnerable to Tornado, so if they have Tornado it will be tough to break through.

You can start off with a Knight or split Guards in the back depending on what is in your starting hand.

Do not be afraid to Fireball an Elixir Pump.

Executioner with Tornado is a really good defensive strategy to use against Beatdown.

If your opponent plays a tank in the back you can punish with Hog in the opposite lane to force them to draw elixer to defend it.

Graveyard Cycle

Clash Royale GraveyardClash Royale Ice GolemClash Royale KnightClash Royale Archers
Clash Royale Inferno TowerClash Royale PoisonClash Royale The LogClash Royale Ice Spirit

This deck is Trainer Luis’s deck.

It is a double tank Graveyard deck, but with Inferno as the main defense. This deck is vulnerable to 3 Musketeers but it works really well against Golem, Hog, and many other deck archetypes.

If your opponent places an Elixir Pump you can punish him with Knight/Ice Golem and Graveyard push.

The optimal way of playing this deck is using Archers in good placements to defend an opponent push, then counterpushing with Graveyard.

It is deadly as they have to answer both the supporting units as well as Graveyard.

If your opponent places Golem in the back you can punish them by pushing on the other lane.

You always want to split Archers in the beginning or cycle Ice Spirit so you can push on any lane depending on your opponent’s push.

Giant Royal Ghost

Clash Royale GiantClash Royale PrinceClash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale Electro Wizard
Clash Royale Mega MinionClash Royale Ice SpiritClash Royale PoisonClash Royale Zap

The next deck is a Giant/Royal Ghost deck. This deck is really good because you can use Giant more easily on defense as opposed to Golem decks.

It is great for soaking up damage (for instance from your opponent’s Musketeer or Bats, then translating into a counterpush.

The Prince and Royal Ghost behind Giant is a good combination on offence due to their high DPS or splash.

You can also use Prince and Royal Ghost to defend than counter push with Giant in front.

You have E-Wiz to defend against units like Inferno Dragon, Bats, and the ever popular Skelly Barrel now. And Zap to use on offence against Inferno Dragon or Inferno Tower.

Starting moves are cycling Ice Spirit, using a Giant and pushing same lane as whatever your opponent drops, Ewiz/Mega Minion in back.

I dont recommend rushing with a Prince on offense, it is too aggresive.

Royal Ghost Bridge Spam

Clash Royale Royal GhostClash Royale Battle RamClash Royale Night WitchClash Royale Ice Golem
Clash Royale BanditClash Royale PoisonClash Royale ZapClash Royale Inferno Dragon

This deck is so overpowered right now. The key to this deck is to spam your units at the bridge so your opponent will not be able to counter this.

But do not spam mindlessly, you typically want to play slightly conservatively, then go almost all in when they invest elixer in the other lane.

For instance, if they use a Golem in back or elxier Pump, immediately Battle Ram + Night Witch the other lane. Or use a Ghost.

Night Witch paired with Battle Ram and Ice Golem in front to tank is a really good combination on offence.

Then they will be forced to spend a ton of elixer in defending, whereas you can simply use a Inferno Dragon to defend their Golem easily for a positive elixer trade.

Then you can use the Inferno Dragon for another counterpush as it is still alive.

Ghost is really good at countering Three Musketeers as well.

Here is my video where I play a full grand challenge and get 12 wins using the 6 different decks mentioned below. Live Commentary is included, as well as extensive detail/tips on how to use each deck.

I’d really appreciate subscribing/sharing the videos, as I will be producing videos approximately once a week, each time with a new deck I’ve been having success with in GC’s or general tips on how you can become a better player.

I frequently post the best decks updated in the meta on my Twitter account, so if you want to stay up to date with the frequent meta shifts, please follow. I post 12 win decks almost daily.

I also have Instagram in which I share cool photos, for instance one of my posts I took some pictures with players like Surgical Goblin, Tin2, and other pros from CCGS. Check it out.

Furthermore, I’d like to give a huge shoutout to Team Clovers for sponsoring me. If any of you are looking to tryout for our pro team (which offers contracts, monthly salaries, and max accounts), please follow them on Twitter and join their Discord.

Lastly, big shoutout to Will for helping me get where I am now. Without the support of all of you guys I would not be here right now 🙂

  1. I currently use miner poison to push on ladder, and spawner deck / lavaloon for challenges (yes my challenge decks are cheap don’t judgeeeee) and I’m finding miner poison to be a really powerful deck.

  2. HE’S BACK! Woooow. BTW, there’s my deck which I’m gonna use, it’s very strong and I used it to get 2nd place on 200 player tourney!
    Miner
    Mega Knight
    Skeleton Barrel
    Bats
    Guards
    Poison
    The Log
    Inferno Dragon

  3. Can someone join my clan? A troller kicked about 30 members. The name is 1600 with the Belgian flag. We talk French and Dutch. A few players can also talk English.

  4. How is this deck for the challenge unstoppable?
    Miner
    Poison
    Ewiz
    Log
    Tesla
    Spirit of ice
    Gobs
    Knight
    2.9

    • I would suggest Inferno Tower over Tesla because you don’t have much dps other than the tesla (for golem).. and support troops would be really annoying if golem or giant.
I would also go goblin gang over e-wiz and bats over gobs but that’s me

    • I prefer skeletons over goblins, mainly to reduce the cycle. B-Rad uses skeletons in that slot too. A zap or log would be a negative elixir trade. Even though it’s just one elixir less than goblins, you would normally be cycling through dozens of those throughout a match and that all stacks up over the course of a match. That’s dozens of times where you have spent 1 less elixir and that allows you to get more ewizes down, more knights, more miners and where needed more teslas.

  5. I’ve never seen it before lol. Probably not that great as two extremely heavy tanks can cause rotation problems

  6. that’s a lot of gems!!!!!! and gold!!!!!! (didn’t check my account yet, what’s the legendary challenge??)

  7. really nice post unstoppable! I’ve been playing lots of different competitive decks (having success with them too) and I will add a ton over here. They are super viable and have gotten me many 12 wins also, couple of these are some which I’ve seen being played by different pro players and seemed interesting

    Xbow Archers cycle
    Hog Ice wiz control
    Miner machine inferno hut control
    pekkaloon w/ ghost
    golem hut
    mortar bait ghost
    giant pekkahut

    mk hog w/ guards
    3m double prince

    miner 2.9
    pekka miner hut
pekka bait w/ mirror rocket and furnace
    splashyard
    giant double spawner
    mk double spawner

welp, ask if you’re interested in any of these

      • actually i could see it if you managed to get one tower that could be really hard to defend if you have decent counters to noyt get two starred and three starred also a really good surprise card if you split the first three muski youd be surprised

      • getting one tower with three muski is op cause you can place them in the center to get the other tower now

      • not really if you have seven really good cards you can really take advantage of certain points and never use mirror unless for surprise like you are supposed to i feel that it should be really good you cant hate a deck simply because it runs a card generally seen as bad

      • I don’t hate the deck because it’s bad, I don’t even hate it at all. I just think it’s trash lol. You don’t want to go through the whole match only using a certain card once or twice you will get outcycled

  8. OK so I looked at TV Royale and I found that there were a ton of people using this deck:
    Miner
    Royal Ghost
    Goblin Hut
    Skele Barrel
    Bats
    Zap
    Inferno Dragon
    Mega Knight

  9. Hey guys,question:
Does this deck will work on legend challenge?
    Mortar
    Rocket
    Tornado
    Musketeer
    Ice golem
    Ice spirit
    Zap
    Goblin gang
    Write your opinions

    • Currently 3-2 because one person had a Mega inferno goblin hut deck which believe it or not completely countered my hog exenado deck. The second loss I would’ve won if they didn’t nerf the spell tower damage! Basically the tower was at 149, and zap+log (I used a different variant) only does 140, which before it would’ve done 160. Then the raged mega minion got 2 hits on the 400 hp tower cuz I couldn’t nado it in time.

      • i have trouble countering mega knight as well whenever i use hog in general its just a really good defensive counter push card that can be really overwhelming

      • Yea, I use hog, but I run freeze too, so I can freeze the MK and (maybe) get some free damage

      • that will give you the worst counter push that you have seen in your whole life that is the last thoing that i would suggest unless you are posiive you can get the tower

    • Went 7-3, first loss was from a misplay with my placement of my ice wiz, 2nd loss was the deck that beats me the most (aka 3m fireball bait) and 3rd loss was from a spam deck

  10. I really have no idea how these people get 12 wins in the challenge when there’s the odds of finding a deck that is complete counter to your deck. And of course other than the “skill” factor, I really don’t know how. I was barely able to do Modern Royale, due to some being bologna, some being to my neck, maybe. Also, checked my shop for the Royal Ghost, not even there, so I can’t use him until it shows up. Even worse is I don’t have the Hunter, so those other decks are unusable.

    • ask for substitutions is there any perticular deck you cant run but want to do to the cards what are the cards you dont have

    • Pros get 12 wins because they use versatile decks that counter meta decks. There’s certain decks that are really good against certain archetypes and bad against others, (beat down and siege for example) and then there’s versatile decks where they are good against all decks. Those ones require not as much skill and you can get far in the game with those ones.

    • use this deck:
      golem
      elixir collector
      NW
      baby dragon
      MM
      dark prince
      prince
arrows(I think zap is better, but arrows help a lot against 3 muskets)

      • Tried it. I could not get myself to use Elixir Collector. Just because I was simply scared of it being what could kill my game.

    • Learn matchups. Matchups are the key. You’d be surprised how often you face people who don’t know how to play a counter-deck properly.

You don’t need royal ghost to get 12 wins in this challenge even though he makes it easier. You don’t need hunter either. Quick cycle graveyard, hog exenado, miner poison control and logbait are some good decks that can work for 12 wins without Royal Ghost.

  11. ok in you guys opinion in the decks that has knight ice golem graveyard does it sound understandable to substitute tornado for poison and princess for archers i feel this will give the deck a much better chance at countering beat down decks built around getting massive pushes although the poison helps against pumps it just gives the deck one of the best defensive combos in the game in my opinion

    • Keep poison. remember that you have two tanks and if you poison their push the support troops will have a horrible time.

      • yeah but princess poiuson also does a strong effect like that asd well as allowing you to get troops on your tower and keeping troops away from your toper for one less elixir

  12. I have Royal Ghost in the shop but don’t know whether to invest into him. My Ladder deck is: Golem | Mega Minion | Elixir Collector | B Dragon | Goblin Gang | N Witch | Arrows | Rocket.

Maybe same deck but swap Gang of Ghost???

  13. So just got my ass kicked again 0-3 with the exodia deck. Bye bye 100 gems… How do you use this deck to win? What do you have to look out for? I didn’t stand a ghost of a chance against mirror hog tornado, lavahound/inferno dragon:electro wizard; pekka hog tornado.witch…

  14. I’m angry. was at 10-0 lost three in a row. My brother messed up an xbow plant and i lost that game. Then I got kinda pissed and began missing tons of fireballs and dropping the wrong troops. RIP. Gonna sit in a corner and cry for a few minutes.

    • I feel you man… I had similar situation with RG challenge. as for legendary, I got 10 wins too. but at least I can retry

  15. supercell, you said every card… I’m kind of bummed out about that. but above that, I opened a smc yesterday, and guess the results…

  16. YAY I GOT 12 WINS ON LEGENDARY CHALLENGE(12-2)!!! I got graveyard out of the legendary chest(expected Royal Ghost, but guess SC doesn’t like me), and nothing out of 12 wins chest. I know I should be grateful, but I’m just disappointed rn

  17. I went 12 – 1 with this deck:

    Mega Knight
    Miner
    Skelly Barrel
    E Wiz
    Bats
    Zap
    Poison
    Inferno Dragon

Graveyard from leggy chest nothing else. Its now 1/10 lvl 3

    • I wouldn’t call it OP. Any splash damage counters it. Only time it’s caught me out is when I dropped the spell before the skeletons actually landed.
