Clash Royale April Balance Update – Royal Giant and Elite Barbarians Got Nerfed!

As always, Supercell is releasing the new Balance Change update on April 23rd in order to make the game fine tuned and to keep the fun throughout the updates.

This time, Supercell is tuning down Royal Giant, Elite Barbarians and boosting some underrated cards! Let’s take a closer look!

In case you are curious, all of these changes are mentioned in this Podcast. And please note that, this update is not live yet, it is going to be deployed on April 23rd.

In this update, Supercell is going to nerf Royal Giant and Elite Barbarians, two of the best offensive options in Classh Royale. It is pretty easy to use them as an attacker but as the defender it requires skills.

Overleveling is the main problem with Royal Giant and Elite Barbarians. Unfortunately, there isn’t any proper solution for this.

Royal Giant: Deploy Time increased from 1s to 2s

Supercell don’t want to nerf Royal Giant’s HP, attack range and damage because it’s already weak at tournament standards. Increasing the deploy time from 1s to 2s forces players do push slowly with the Royal Giant instead of putting them directly at the bridge.

Elite Barbarians: HP reduced by 4%. Initial attack speed reduced by 0.1s

This will make it easier to deal with Elite Barbarians on defense. After this nerf, Elite Barbarians will still be a big threat which can take down any huge card on defense, but they will become a bit less powerful on counterpush.

Furnace: HP reduced by 5%

To be honest, Furnace offers too much value for only 4 Elixir. It is pretty hard to deal with it with no more than 4 Elixir. Reducing its HP a bit will make it easier to deal with Furnace on offense.

Goblin Hut: HP +5%

Goblin Hut has lived in the Furnace’s shadow for months. It’s time to change the meta a bit! Goblin Hut is not bad at all at applying the pressure, doing chip damage and baiting Zap.

Electro Wizard: Attack Speed to decreased from 1.7s to 1.8s

This guy offers a bit too much value for the cost as a ranged support troop. I believe that we all can understand this nerf.

Executioner: Damage +6%

After the latest nerf, Executioner userate was significantly decreased. This buff will give people a great choice to deal with the increasingly popular Lava Hound decks.

Balloon: Death Damage delay decreased from 1s to 3s

It is not hard to see that Balloon is becoming a lot more viable win condition after the last balance change. Decreasing the bomb delay from 1s to 3s will make the game a lot more balanced!

Skeleton Army: Skeleton count decreased from 15 to 14

Hmmm… Nothing to say. Skeleton Army is still an outstanding card in the Arena!

Lumberjack: HP + 4%

Another great buff for the Lumberjack! Are you doing to use him in your deck to have fun with the Rage effect?
