Miner Double P.E.K.K.A Deck for Arena 8+

Hey guys, KairosTime here with a powerful double P.E.K.K.A deck that has proven to win the 12th round of a grand challenge! This deck is fantastic at putting constant pressure on your opponent with chip damage that makes it hard for your opponent to keep up! This deck takes some practice to master but with the help of this guide, you can take this deck to with the 12th round of any challenge, as my buddy noobiemaster did! This deck comes with a video guide on a YouTube series called “Challenge Winning Decks” which includes the winning 12th round replay that you can find it below! Feel free to check out my YouTube Channel for more video guides!

Miner Double P.E.K.K.A Deck for Arena 8+

Card Breakdown

P.E.K.K.A – The P.E.K.K.A is a force that can’t be ignored, and your opponent will do anything to keep her from landing her mighty sword on their tower. The sound of her landing on the map still sends chills down my spine! Alternatives – Giant, Giant Skeleton amd Golem.

Mini P.E.K.K.A – The Mini P.E.K.K.A loves pancakes, and is strong on both offense and defense! Use this little guy to defend strong pushes and make even stronger counter-pushes!

Miner – The Miner is a super versatile card in the game! His many uses make him difficult to replace in a lot of different types of decks, but his primary use in this deck is to clear defending ranged troops that are locked on to the P.E.K.K.A, so try to switch him out with one of his alternatives if you don’t have him. Alternatives – Fireball, Poison, Log

Witch – The Witch comes with her own little army which makes her difficult to deal with when behind the P.E.K.K.A. She’s great on defense if you can turn her defense to a counter-push! Alternatives – Tombstone, Furnace

Musketeer – The Musketeer is one of the best cards in the game, especially when she can’t be 1-shotted by a Fireball. Use her to support the P.E.K.K.A and she’ll plow through defending troops!

Ice Wizard – The Ice Wizard is a tanky troop that is very strong on defense and will slow down defending troops, making it easier for your P.E.K.K.A to make it to the tower! If you don’t have him, switch him out for one of his alternatives. Alternatives – Wizard, Ice Spirit, Baby Dragon, Princess

Zap – Zap has so many great uses in this deck for only 2 elixir. Whether it is used to reset an Inferno Tower, or to clear small troops that are distracting your P.E.K.K.A, Zap is a must-have card in this deck.

Elixir Collector – The Elixir Collector forces your opponent to play on your side of the field, which gives you the advantage. Protect your pump well and your opponent’s heart will drop when you drop the P.E.K.K.A.

On Defense

Hog Cycle Decks – These decks require some practice playing against so I recommend that you watch the video for a replay example on how to face Hog Decks. The trick with these decks is to use your towers’ health as a resource. That means that you should allow your opponent to deal some damage to your tower so that you can save up your elixir. One of the best ways to do this is with the Ice Wizard, Musketeer, or Mini P.E.K.K.A. By spending 3 or 4 elixir, your tower will take out a Hog Rider with only a few hits on it. This can take some health off your tower, but spending little Elixir to defend will allow you to make a comeback when you have enough Elixir to drop you P.E.K.K.A and some supporting troops. When you are ready to drop the P.E.K.K.A, it may be good to drop her by your tower so she can clear the Hog Rider and so you have some time before she makes it to the bridge while you add supporting troops.

Giant Poison Decks – This is another tough deck to play against because Poison does such a good job at clearing your P.E.K.K.A’s supporting units. You will want to watch the video for 2 replays on this one so you can see an example of how to overcome this difficult matchup and with some skill, you will be unstoppable! Facing Giant Poison Decks is all about troop placement when you know that your opponent has the Poison ready. You will want to use your P.E.K.K.A to take out the enemy Giant on your side of the map, and place your Mini P.E.K.K.A and Ice Wizard in the right place to take out supporting troops. You can place your Mini P.E.K.K.A in the Poison but you will want to keep other troops far from each other so they can’t all be Poisoned.

Miner Chip Damage Decks – Miner Chip Damage decks can be dangerous if you’re not expecting them. Because the Miner doesn’t actually do very much damage to the tower, you can usually ignore the miner and focus on the troops coming down the lane. Usually a Mini P.E.K.K.A or the Ice Wizard are the best troops to use, but you will want to place them so they won’t target the Miner first, but will target him after they have cleared oncoming troops. Like Hog Cycle Decks, the best way to face these decks is to use your towers’ health as a resource and try to defend with as little elixir as possible, so you can mount a powerful push that won’t be able to be stopped. If you can do that, these decks won’t be hard for you to face as long as you protect your Elixir Collector with the Ice Wizard or Mini P.E.K.K.A.

Other Decks – Honestly, this deck doesn’t have much of a difficult time facing other decks as long as you follow the advice above. If you’re ready to mount a push, defend tanky troops with the P.E.K.K.A but if you’re not ready, be patient and your time will come. You will want to try and get your Collectors down and protect them without committing too much to defense. When facing other P.E.K.K.A decks, it is usually the P.E.K.K.A that gets dropped last that will triumph so being patient is very important. If you’re facing Double Prince decks, you’ll want to save your Zap for the right moment and counter attack with a P.E.K.K.A or Mini P.E.K.K.A depending on whether you want to defend or go on the offense. Feel free to leave comments below if you’re having issues with other deck types!

On Offense

This deck is so strong because it uses the sheer force of your P.E.K.K.A backed up with 3 ranged supporting troops and a Miner that can be used to clear Musketeers or Princesses anywhere on the map. As soon as you drop the P.E.K.K.A, your opponent’s play style will shift, so wait for the right time, but don’t wait too long or she won’t make it to the enemy tower before the time runs out. If you’ve lost a tower and know that you won’t go into overtime, You will want to drop your first P.E.K.K.A before there’s only 1:15 left, or your opponent may be able to distract her enough that she won’t make it to the tower. If you are going into overtime, you can even wait until 15 seconds before overtime before dropping your first P.E.K.K.A.

Sometimes you will be down a tower and there won’t be enough time to make a P.E.K.K.A push successful. If this is the case, you can definitely have success with a Mini P.E.K.K.A push. This can be done with either the Ice Wizard or Witch along with the Miner to distract the tower along with the Mini P.E.K.K.A being dropped at the bridge. Have your Zap ready to clear troops that will distract your Mini P.E.K.K.A and you can get a quick tower kill if your opponent isn’t expecting it.

Popular Defenses and Taking Them Down:

  • Minion Horde – You will need 2 of the following: Witch, Ice Wizard, Zap. With that, this won’t be tough to deal with and your P.E.K.K.A or supporting troops shouldn’t take too much damage.
  • Fireball / Rocket – Make sure your supporting troops are in a line with space between them rather than bunched up in one place. I find the best lineup to be the Witch in front, Ice Wizard in the middle, and the Musketeer in the back.
  • Valkyrie – Similar to the Fireball / Rocket, place your troops in a line when preparing your push. If you don’t have much time to prepare your push, a Mini P.E.K.K.A backed up with an Ice Wizard should do a good job at taking care of the Valkyrie before she does too much damage.
  • Princess / Ice Wizard / Musketeer – Wait until it is locked on to the P.E.K.K.A or is about to be, then place your Miner directly behind them and he’ll quickly take them out. If you place him in front of these troops, you run the risk of resetting their target onto him which you don’t necessarily want to do.
  • Inferno Tower – You will want to make sure your Witch is involved in this push and has had plenty of time to build up a little army. This is one situation where I will place the Witch in the back and then place the P.E.K.K.A near the bridge so the Witch will have enough time to spawn plenty of Skeletons that can surround the P.E.K.K.A. Using Zap + Miner is a great combination too by getting the Tower to lock onto the Miner.
  • Poison – This one takes practice. My favorite way to deal with this is by dropping the Musketeer in the middle of the map, right next to the river so she can help clear defending troops without walking into the Poison. On one match, I won because my opponent was spending so much elixir defending my P.E.K.K.A push with Poison that I dropped a Miner + Mini P.E.K.K.A down the other lane and they couldn’t defend it.
  • Guards – If you have the Ice Wizard and Witch together, don’t worry about these too much. If you only have one of them, you will want to Zap the Guards even if they are leveled up high enough that their shields won’t get knocked off. The Zap’s Stun + Extra damage will give your troops enough time to clear the Guards without them being able to distract your P.E.K.K.A too much.

One Final Note

This deck takes some practice to learn how to use so be patient. After seeing my buddy noobiemaster win a grand challenge (Replay in video), I had to try this deck out! If you’re like me, you may lose your first couple matches but keep practicing and follow the advice in this guide and you will see just how strong this deck is!

Thanks for taking the time to read this guide! I hope that you have found this Miner Double P.E.K.K.A Deck helpful. This is KairosTime ticking by! See you in the Arena!

You should join my clan ARA squad 30+ members all active and help each other

    • Asdfire

If you are above 2800 trophies then you can join CFR Kings. I might be able to lower it to 2600 or 2700 if you want in though.

    • 210577

Sorry, but since when has CRA become a place to advertise your clans?

  • kwugfighter

Do you think this deck is good: Giant/Balloon/Musketeer/Valkyrie/Ice Spirit/Guards/Zap/Arrows

    • kwugfighter

My card levels are 9/6/2 and 3

  • David Mao

PEKKA says “Butterfly” when u summon it
    Mini Pekka says Pancakes

    • Will Potter

      haha yea

  • Hamish

once i get to arena 8 and get miner, this deck can push me to arena 9! 🙂 😉

  • Luis Manuel

I don’t really like using any decks that requires using an Elixer Pump. I feel that card is a waste to be honest lol

    • Purple N’ Gold

You’re most likely in arena 7.

      • Asdfire

Yep. In arena 9 it is so useful.

      • Luis Manuel

        I am actually 2850 trophies in 🙂

    • Lucas Giovani

To lower level players it might just be the only way to get an advantage over a rly high level player

      • lamepotato

this is one thing i dont get. when i place my level 4 elixir collector, it immediately gets fireballed by level 7 fire balls

      • Luis Manuel

Yea but if that higher person has a strong fireball and zap it doesn’t matter cause it gets taken out pretty quick. IMO

    • Will Potter

It has a lot of potentials buddy!

    • 210577

Who says elixir pumps have to generate elixir? You can use them to pull fireballs for 3 Musketeers, draw off hogs, and even try to make your opponent hit your King Tower by accident with balloons or spells. 😛

      • Luis Manuel

Isn’t that what defensive buildings are for ???

  • Lucas Giovani

Yo will, what do you think of the two decks that i’m using in arena 8:
1 – Lava hound, mini pekka, poison, freeze, ice spirit, spear goblins, minions and elixir collector
(main push = lava hound + bunch of other troops + poison w/ hound alive or freeze when hound pops (try to make freeze a positive elixir trade by freezing troops worth more than 4 elixir and having lava pups or minions kill it))
2 – Giant, mini pekka, minions, elixir colector, witch, ice spirit, zap and rage (main push = giant, witch, minions, ice spirit and rage (ice spirit rly important to freeze witch counters))
Loving these decks i made, really fun to play and effective, both get lots of three crowns, really recommend you try them out! (usually i let them take a tower so that they waste elixir and i can 3 crown, also do lots of giant and lava hound pulls and tank and spank combos)
(also using the giant lighting deck :D)

    • Will Potter

      1. I don’t think you should use both Freeze and Poison in 1 deck man.
      2. This deck is pretty nice 😀

      • Lucas Giovani

I just got to 2600+ with the second deck, with only level 6 rares, 9/8
commons and 2 epics 😀 It’s awesome because most people use valkirie to
counter witches behind giants, but the ice spirit + minions melt her,
then they cant stop the rage! (also, rage makes the witch generate more
skeletons to counter mini pekkas and destroy towers!)
Ps: I got the idea of Poison + Freeze from the #1 deck tips video from Ash (Bright Light’s deck)

      • Lucas Giovani

Could you do a spotlight on it and post it here? I recommend everyone to try it out as it makes for really fast games and climbing, also great for tourneys and grand challenges 😀
My tips on it have already been told, just pump up, defend a little, most of the time you can afford to take a little bit of damage on our tower and use your defense to start a counterpush, as you’ll be most likely 3 crowning the opponent. after 2x elixir apply constant pressure so the opponent cant attack. If he does, you’ll 3 crown him. (and never forget the ice spirit behind the witch + minions or mini pekka, so you won’t be countered easily)

    • Will Potter

      Goblin Barrel, maybe 😀

  • weirdo

and what is the best way to get a legendary like lava hound or ice wizard without having to win a legendary chest or getting to legendary arena which is probably gonna take a year or so since I’m in spell valley well I nearly got to 6 but went back down again because of the bloody wifi so which means i lost 4 battle in a row and won 2 well in the 4 lose row I even got beaten by a lv 6 and I’m lv 7
    stupid 🙁

  • Ben

Will, is it possible to replace Ice Spirit with Fire Spirits? Otherwise, thanks so much with this deck, maybe I’ll go back to PEKKA decks instead of Hog decks.

    • Ben
