Hey guys! It’s Zigge here back with another guide for you guys!
Today I’m showing you guys how to build a new meta X-Bow deck using newly buffed cards like Ice Wizard, Bats and Mini P.E.K.K.A.
Sounds interesting? Let’s get into it!
Making Your Own Meta X-Bow Deck
The first “stage” or impression of this meta is X-Bow. Twitter is full of them and YouTube videos have been covering them. But there is no clear decklist. So what I’m gonna do today is tell you which cards are necessary in an X-Bow deck and you’ll get to choose the rest of the cards.
Quickly I wanna go through the pros and cons with X-Bow decks:
Easy to out-cycle your opponent
One lock on the tower with your X-Bow will deal massive damage
A bit weak vs Graveyard
Weak vs bait decks since they commonly use Rocket
Somewhat weak vs beatdown decks
Must have cards
Cards that you can’t interchange when using this type of X-Bow deck.
No brainer. Of course you need too use the X-Bow in an X-Bow deck.
Some would argue you can use Zap, but when playing an X-Bow deck, The Log is necessary in my opinion because you can chip your opponent’s tower every time you use it (except against Goblin Barrel).
Knight could work instead, but the death effect of the Ice Golem provides so much value when it comes to protecting your X-Bow. And it make it easier for you to cycle back to it.
Ice Wizard – Definitely the most versatile defender and counterattacker in this meta. He’s a must have behind your X-Bow since he slows down your opponent’s troops by ~35%.
Now it’s your turn!
Now there are 4 card slots left in your deck, and now it’s your turn to choose them.
Fireball or Poison
Most people would use Fireball, but many X-Bow decks are weak to Graveyard, so if you’re facing Graveyard a lot, consider using Poison instead of Fireball.
Mini P.E.K.K.A or Inferno Tower
Inferno Tower is used in most traditional X-Bow decks, but with the Mini P.E.K.K.A buff, I’ve seen a lot of people ditch the good ol’ Inferno Tower and used Mini P.E.K.K.A instead.
It’s really your call, and a Mini P.E.K.K.A does a much better job at protecting your X-Bow than the Inferno Tower, but having a defensive building is always useful.
I’ve also seen people use both, but it just makes the deck a little too expensive.
Choose two from Goblins, Ice Spirit, Bats, Skeletons
Goblins – One of the most popular cards in this meta, and the last meta. Their high dps comes in handy when your opponent has wasted their Poison or The Log somewhere else, and you can use the Goblins to clean up a Giant or Hog Rider without them getting killed by a spell.
Skeletons – Skeletons really lower the cycling cost of the deck, which is always good, but the game has come to a stage where troops that don’t survive spells need to be very much better than troops that do, such as Skeletons vs Goblins. Three Skeletons don’t cut it, while Goblins survive a Zap.
Ice Spirit – Just like Skeletons, it lowers the cost of the deck, the only difference is that you don’t need to worry about your opponent’s spells, because most of the time, your Ice Spirit will jump before your enemy has time to react. It protects your X-Bow very well
Bats – Are they bad? Are they good? We don’t know yet! The balance changes just came out a couple of days ago! But they are certainly useful in X-Bow decks. From what it seems now, they are useful in any deck, and the fact that 5 bats can stop an entire 7 Elixir Lava Hound is pretty sick.
All of these cards work very well in X-Bow decks, and for the first time, I’m gonna give you my personal opinion – Ice Spirit and Bats! I like how none of them are weak to The Log, and if I use Inferno Tower, Bats can act as a Zap bait or vice versa.
