Executioner Graveyard Deck

Hey everyone! This is Fizzle from the clan KoalaScheme and today I’ll be posing my first ever CRA arena deck, hope you all like it!

This deck is one I made after unlocking the Executioner and attempting to use him in place of the Bowler in the Bowler Graveyard deck that is currently in the meta. However, after losing quite a few matches I realized it would never work and set out to create my own deck to best utilize this new card, the result? A deck which in a single day got me from 3780 trophies to over 4000!

Cards Breakdown

Executioner – Possibly my new favorite card, the Executioner is basically a Wizard and a Bowler combined. I use him as a tank for the Graveyard as well as defense against almost any swarm (Y’know, other than those famous P.E.K.K.A. and Golem swarms everyones using) Another thing i noticed while playing with him is that when he throws his axe the first time, the unit gets stunned for a split-second and while it may not seem like much, if he gets the killing blow on a Lava Hound, the pups will all get stunned while their clumped together and the Executioner can hit them all in one throw

Graveyard – One of the most OP cards in the game that will probably get some sort of nerf in the near future, the Graveyard is almost unstoppable with an Executioner tanking the tower shots as well as flinging his axe at anything your opponent tries to counter it with. You can use the Mini P.E.K.K.A., Executioner, Ice Golem, Mega Minion, or nothing at all to tank for this card as well as a fireball to remove those pesky archers your opponent drops way behind his crown tower. I’ve used this card for so long (on and off since it came out) and it is such an offensive beast in almost any circumstance. Even a panicked defensive Graveyard to hold off those Elite Barbarians flying towards your tower will work. If you don’t have this legendary card but REALLY want to play this deck you could try it with a Goblin Barrel or Miner (I have not personally tested this so battle at your own risk)

Mini P.E.K.K.A. – An amazing tank killer that hasn’t seen much play in the past since the rise of the Mega Minion, however in this deck he (she?) is one of the main components, being your star tank killer and great for turning into an offensive push after a successful defense. Its always best to couple the Mini P.E.K.K.A. with an Executioner Ice Golem or The Log to clear out swarms because of the fact that she’s extremely easy to counter on her own

Ice Golem – A perfect cheap tank for Graveyard as well as the best troop for kiting in the game, Ice Golem is in almost any decent deck nowadays. Even after the nerf, It can still destroy a full Skeleton Army and bring a Minion Horde down to 2 shots from the arena tower. Normally I will place him in front of the Executioner tanking for the Graveyard for a devastating push that is extremely hard to counter and a lot of times gets me a tower if i set it up right

Mega Minion – Who could forget the Mega Minion? Another great tank killer that I will sometimes use as yet another Graveyard tank (so many ways to protect the Graveyard aren’t there?) he is still an amazing card even after all the nerfs Supercell gave him (lets hope there over now…) Put him behind your Executioner for a great defense against just about any push that might come your way. Mega Minion is also a superb defense against Lava Hound.

Dart Goblin – The second recently released card in this deck, the Dart Goblin is astounding at destroying defensive buildings while staying out of harms way. I also use him for insane damage if you can have anything (even the Graveyard) tanking for him. He’s like a portable Xbow! Also the 3rd air defense making this deck great for taking out all the LavaLoon decks floating around in the meta (best joke of 2017 :P) All in all, the Dart Goblin is a great 3 elixir card (if your is under-leveled, I would suggest replacing him with Princess or Archers)

Fireball – A great all around card, I will usually use it to kill anything defending the Graveyard that the Executioner (if I have one in that particular push) cant reach. Also good on defense if you can find a positive elixir trade, and obviously good for finishing off the last 200 health of a tower. Not much else to say about this card as you probably know how to use it decently (Im pretty sure theres a guide to the Fireball on this site but I’m to lazy to find is and add the link :D)

The Log – One of the worst Legendary cards in the game and now so powerful (Supercell had to give it a nerf). Good for clearing out swarms, defending your Mini P.E.K.K.A. or just pushing your opponent push back for that clutch win you can complain about when it doesn’t get on Royale TV (Please stop it…) If you don’t have the mighty The Log worry not! a simple Zap spell will serve almost the same purpose. Again there is not much else to say about this so lets move to the next section!

Pushes

Mini P.E.K.K.A.+The Log A simple push that only works about 50% of the time, I usually only use this if I’m desperate or have nothing else to do or a Mini P.E.K.K.A. is already going for their tower

Ice Golem+Graveyard A simple and cheap Graveyard push that I occasionally use as a starting push if I have my Fireball in rotation. Always place your Graveyard after the Ice Golem so he tanks the crown towers shots

Graveyard+Dart Goblin Another cheap push but this time make sure the Graveyard tanks for the Dart Goblin for insane quick damage that can take a tower in seconds

Executioner+Graveyard One of the main pushes in the deck, I will usually defend with the Executioner then drop a Graveyard after he crosses the bridge. Normally I’ll have a Fireball in hand but its not absolutely necessary

Mega Minion/Mini P.E.K.K.A.+Graveyard I will almost never launch this push unless the Mega Minion/Mini P.E.K.K.A. is already headed for the tower with almost full health. Most of the time (depending on what counters they use) I will have the troop tanking the shots as the Graveyard deals mass amounts of damage, a Fireball is recommended when trying to pull this off

Graveyard Just a lone graveyard wil still be able to do decent damage if you don’t have anything to use as a tank for it (not a recommended push unless your sure your opponent has nothing to use against it)

Deck Matchups

Royal Giant Not to hard to counter, just keep your Mini P.E.K.K.A. in the same rotation as their RG and be sure to counter-push and you’ll be fine

LavaLoon/Lava Hound Mega Minion for the Balloon or any other support troops and a Excutioner can deal with any Minions or Lava Pups. Use the Dart Goblin if needed

Hog Cycle Kind of tough to deal with if they can out-cycle you (with no defensive building in the deck) but I would suggest using your Mini P.E.K.K.A. or Mega Minion to kill the Hog and an Ice Golem to tank any supporting troops

Spell Bait Easy match up, Executioner can kill any swarms, The Log for the Goblin Barrel, and Dart Goblin for Furnace (Ice Golem and Fireball as needed)

Giant/Golem Mini P.E.K.K.A. and/or Mega Minion can take care of the tank and Ice Golem/Executioner can deal with the supports (Sometimes its best to pus the opposite lane in exchange for a bit of damage)

X-Bow/Mortar Use the Ice Golem or Executioner to tank the shots and a Mini P.E.K.K.A. or Mega Minion for the structure.

P.E.K.K.A. Three Musketeers Although it not seen much any more, sometimes you will face it. Use Fireball and The Log to take out the Three Muskets and an Ice Golem to kite the big guy (Mini P.E.K.K.A. and/or Ie Golem as needed)

Well that’s all! Any questions you might have please ask and I’ll try to get to you, again this is my first article so I apologize if its to short or not explained very well, any advice is welcome 🙂
