Best Graveyard Deck – 5 Straight 12 Wins in Grand Challenges
November 13, 2016
Hey guys, In this guide, I am going to share with you one of the best Graveyard decks I have used so far in the entire game at the moment. This deck was shared by Ash a few days ago and you can check out the video below to see how he uses this deck. Anyway, he used this deck and got 5 straight 12 wins in the Grand Challenges, which is such a record! Hands down I haven’t heard of anyone getting 5 straight 12 wins like this. This shows you how incredibly powerful this deck is.
The Best Graveyard Deck for Arena 8+
In the current meta game, we face a lot of Golem, Giant and Lava Hound decks. Most players wouldn’t expect a Hog Rider deck dominating. And here we have, the Hog Rider Graveyard deck.
To be honest, this deck has a nearly perfect synergy. You can use it to beat almost any deck at the moment. It has incredible offense and amazing defense. If you are pushing to Arena 9 and you are lucky enough to get the Graveyard, use this deck! I am pretty sure that you can make it to Arena 9 very easily.
Graveyard is definitely a very good card. I think that you should buy it immediately If it shows up in the shop. This is probably one of the best cards in game which can give you easy wins. First, you have to understand when is the best time to use the Graveyard. Usually, the best time to use it is when you are pushing with Ice Golem and Hog Rider. Remember, Graveyard costs 5 Elixir to place down don’t play too recklessly otherwise you will get a heavy counter-push. Truly this is not an easy card to master but once you have mastered the Graveyard, you can see how devastating it is! Graveyard is not only dominating at dealing damage but also at distracting. While being coupled Archers and Mega Minion on a counter-push, the Skeletons can distract the buildings and put your opponent in a very hard situation: “Dealing with the Graveyard, or the incoming push?” since both sides can deal insane amount of damage.
There are lots of great offensive combos you can use in this deck revolving around the Graveyard. Almost everything is possible. Even a simple Hog Rider + Graveyard push can muddle your opponents. The strongest push you want to play should be like this: Hog Rider pushing Ice Golem, Archers and Mega Minion following them and Graveyard.
At the beginning, If my opponent doesn’t make any move, I usually drop either Ice Golem or Archers at the back and when they are about to cross the river, I drop the Hog Rider (behind the Ice Golem or in front of the Archers). Playing Mega Minion first would be okay but I usually save it in hand to deal with Miner/Hog Rider/Mini P.E.K.K.A or any surprising troop. Try to hide your Graveyard, play your other 7 cards first and see which cards your opponent has can counter your Graveyard. They are usually Skeleton Army, Goblins, Spear Goblins, Archers, Barbarians and Minions. Then, the best time to play your Graveyard spell out is when your opponent doesn’t have the counter in his hand.
At stated above, don’t try to play the full combo which consists of Archers, Ice Golem, Hog Rider and Graveyard. It costs up to 14 Elixir and If your opponent can counter it, It will be over.
Ice Golem is such a beast on defense. He distracts all of the opposing supports, groups them and makes the most use of your Fireball. Ice Golem + Fireball is my favorite defensive combo, helping me deals with lots of 6+ Elixir push. Ice Golem is also very useful at dealing with the opposing Graveyard as he kills all nearby Skeletons upon death. I strongly recommend you take a look at this guide to see the best ways to utilize this card. After a successful defense, If your Ice Golem still has green HP, drop your Archers or Hog Rider behind him, and then use Graveyard on the Tower when he is soaking damage.
I very like playing pre-Fireball to counter anything distracting the Graveyard. If it’s Skeletons/Goblins, you can use Zap instead. I use Fireball in most of my big pushes during the x2 Elixir time.
You can use Inferno Tower instead of Tombstone, that would be okay. But after the recent Inferno Tower’s nerf, Lightning is dominating! Although Tombstone can be destroyed by the Lightning but it will immediately spawn Skeletons to deal with the opponent’s tank. Take a look at this guide to read all of the tips for our Tombstone.
Golem Decks: Once your opponent has placed down the Golem, immediately push on the other lane with everything you have. That’s okay If you don’t have the fast ass Hog Rider, Ice Golem + Archers + Mega Minion + Graveyard would get the job done. Most Golem decks at the moment contains Graveyard so trying to use your Graveyard before him. Don’t forget to use the Tombstone to deal with the Golem. You can see this matchup in the video below.
Lava Hound Decks: Same as above. Play aggressively.
Three Musketeers: Most decks using Elixir Collectors contain the 3 Musketeers so just don’t waste your Fireball on the Elixir Collector, at the moment. Fireball + Zap gets the job done. He uses all 3 Musketeers on 1 lane? Ice Golem + Fireball.
Giant Bowler Mega Minion Lightning: This very huge push is dominating at the moment. Since our deck is very cheap (3.3 Elixir avg), you can always cycle to the Hog Rider quickly to make a sneak push once your opponent places either Bowler/Giant down at the back. Even Ice Golem + Mega Minion + Graveyard would work very well. In addition, defensive Lightning is useless when dealing with our push.
Okay guys so that’s it. Hopefully you have found this deck helpful. Please comment If you have any advice/question. Pleas help us make CRA better!
